Swipe down refresh on app doesn't update the new Prescription after the doctor send it.

It’s been a long existing “Bug” and we want to fix it now. Let me describe the scenario:
When the doctor sends the patient a prescription, ideally the patient doesn’t have to quit the app, but just swipes down the main page to refresh, so he/she could see the newly added prescription. However, now we have to kill the app at the backend and re-enter the app to make the new prescription appear.
So far I don’t know how to fix it myself, since I don’t have the access to the app code. Could you please help on this? Feel free to ask for more detail.
