Visual Designer

We are trying to change the look of our website using the Visual Designer. However, most of the pages are loading as empty.For example, we have a Coming Soon page but we are unable to change it because it loads as a blank page in the Visual Designer. The same for the Home page.This is preventing us doing the simplest of things, e.g. chaning the logo for the site.
