Website security certificate

Yesterday I updated our website URL to our URL. Now when people go onto the website they get a warning that the website is insecure and some people are prevented from connecting to the website altogether. 
I purchased a SSL certificate from our domain provider. Is there any other advice you can provide us to fix this issue please.
